The drums are about to vibrate!

From July 9 to 14, Longueuil welcomes, for the 12th consecutive year, the International Percussion Festival.

Discovering Australia and Oceania rhythms! This is the theme of the 12th edition of the International Percussion Festival of Longueuil that runs from July 9 to 14. From Samba to reggae through workshops of Maori songs, Haka dance and Aboriginal painting, about 500 artists will wear proudly their expertise. Three scenes will be deployed for the occasion. The stage will feature several groups coming straight from Australia. Young talent over Quebec will have the opportunity to make themselves known in the dance and music competition on the stage. As for local artists who want to acquire a stage experience, they will all go to the scene of the Discoveries. In addition, ULURU, a tent dedicated to the treasures of Oceania, where an exhibition of photographs, instruments and objects from traditional Aboriginal culture. Renowned drummers such as Mélissa Lavergne, Mario Roy or Luc Boivin will settled there to animate the Master Classes. The Pacific indigenous peoples will also be present for several lectures and documentaries. Finally, the public will relish a wide variety of culinary delights at Pacific gourmet food shows.
